Student Council

The purpose of the student council of SLHS is to provide a closer relationship between students and faculty, represent the student body to the faculty and administration, coordinate and regulate student activities, develop student responsibility and leadership, aid in encouraging Christian conduct and growth, and to prepare students for Christian citizenship.

Student Council (STUCO) leads a number of activities through the year including Homecoming week & dance, Pacerpalooza, Winter Formal week & dance, Prom week and Hoopla. Trips are organized by Student Council including Broadway shows, Bucks games, Chicago Trips, etc. STUCO hosts intramural tournaments such as Pickleball, Badminton, & Dodgeball. Throughout the year, STUCO has a variety of fundraisers to support the Shoreland Mission chosen for each year, including 12 Days of Christmas, Rose sales, Hoopla auctions, etc. The student council also runs our school coffee shop, which benefits our mission.

Our Student Council is represented by members of all four classes. Freshmen elections and interviews are conducted in the Fall and upperclassmen elections are in the Spring.
